Although this is the first post on this site, by no means is this the beginning of the story. Some of you reading this are curious to know what is happening at Ballynafeigh Methodist Church, many of you have been part of the story long before this part of it even began and some of you are digging deep and putting your energy into making this story come true. Maybe you are all of these at once.

Whoever you are reader, you are very welcome! Come on in, through the virtual doors of The Commons and have a look around. Imagine where you might sit, eat, sing, pray, laugh, cry and listen. Rest a while and let the vision for this space carry you, encourage you, inspire you and challenge you.

Things are changing behind the doors of the old Ballynafeigh Methodist Church building. An exciting 3-phase development plan has its feet in the blocks and is waiting for the starting pistol to ring out. A plan that holds a re-imagining of ‘a community founded around regular rhythms of prayer and hospitality and creativity’. A plan that offers the building ‘as an inhabited, welcoming hearth, demonstrating the hospitality of God beyond Sunday morning, throughout the whole week’. We are somewhere in the middle between vision and boots on the ground, filled with eager anticipation, hope and willing hearts to each do our part to make the dream a reality.
